<Poem>

<Translation>
A lonesome guest encountering the end of spring
you sent a heartfelt account of our outings
from your distant post at the edge of the sea
your letter reached Loyang in fall

Ma-ch'ing still had his walls
that fisherman though was homeless
I wonder where you are today
in your little boat hidden among flowering reeds

I don't read the Yiching in the woods anymore
I drift with the gulls by the stream
among the singers of the ways of Ch'u
to whom do you most often turn
